How Ridgeline started
Ridgeline was born out of a simple realization: most agencies charge a lot, deliver too little, and don’t really understand the businesses they’re helping.
Before launching Ridgeline, our founder spent years managing SEO in-house for universities — working alongside agencies and seeing firsthand the client side of a client-agency relationship. He understood the impact and importance of SEO, but also saw why agencies get a bad rap.
That gap between what agencies were charging and the results they were delivering became the foundation for Ridgeline. The idea was straightforward: build an agency that does better work, communicates transparently, and stays obsessively focused on the things that actually drive growth.
Through the founder’s successes at in-house roles and his experience helping grow a local personal trainer’s revenue 86% in one year, he became confident that he could provide a better service that was desperately needed in the industry.

Meet the founder
Zach Pace fell into SEO by accident at 17 — and never looked back.
What started as a summer warehouse job at a water filtration company turned into an internship in their marketing department, where Zach was handed a few links about SEO and told to figure it out. He did. And he's been building on that foundation ever since.
After graduating with a degree in communications, Zach spent years managing SEO in-house at some of the top private universities in the nation — Grand Canyon, Furman, Charleston Southern, and North Greenville — where he built strategies from scratch, created content operations, and consistently delivered measurable results.
Eventually, the combination of his own agency experience from the client side and proving he could deliver results on his own gave Zach the confidence to launch Ridgeline.
When he's not deep on SEO, you'll probably find him spending time with his family, vibecoding, camping, reading, or getting a workout in.
